Cariad Cottage is a spacious and welcoming countryside retreat set in the quiet village of Cilcennin, just five miles from the colourful harbour town of Aberaeron. Sleeping up to ten guests across four comfortable bedrooms, this detached, pet friendly cottage is ideal for families, groups, and anyone who needs mobility friendly accommodation in a peaceful rural setting. Positioned within the owners’ grounds, it offers a relaxing escape with plenty of space both inside and out.
The cottage is thoughtfully arranged for guests with limited mobility. The entire ground floor is step free, including the outdoor areas, and the ground floor double bedroom has its own en suite wet room for convenience. While Cariad Cottage does not provide built in mobility aids, it is wheelchair friendly for guests bringing items such as a shower chair or portable supports. Smooth access and wide circulation space make it easy to move around the home.
Inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The spacious kitchen and separate utility room make self catering easy, while the large open plan living and dining space is perfect for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying time together. A woodburning stove adds extra comfort on cooler evenings. Upstairs, three further bedrooms offer flexibility for larger groups. These include a king size with an en suite and sofa bed, a double room with a sofa bed and shared Jack and Jill access to the family bathroom, and a cosy twin room.
Outside, a private enclosed patio with a hot tub provides a lovely place to unwind after a day of exploring. There is off road parking for four cars, secure bike storage, and access to shared outdoor spaces. These include a ramped treehouse that can be visited by arrangement, two peaceful fishing lakes, and the owners’ friendly animals which are always popular with guests.
Whether you are setting out along the Cardigan Bay coast path, visiting the cafes and shops of Aberaeron, or simply settling into the calm of the countryside, Cariad Cottage offers a comfortable and inclusive base for your West Wales holiday.
