Access Lodge – Wheelchair Friendly Caravan

Access Lodge is a wheelchair friendly caravan designed to cater to guests with mobility needs, offering a range of features for a comfortable and convenient stay. The caravan provides on-site parking with ramped access, level internal access throughout, and a spacious level decking area. While the terrain varies, the lodge ensures easy navigation around the site.

Inside, the living area features level access, a riser/recliner chair, a 2 seat sofa, and a kitchen designed for accessibility, with a wheel-under counter, mid-height oven, and free standing seating at the dining table. Some kitchen cupboards may be out of reach for wheelchair users, but most amenities are accessible from a seated position.

The lodge offers two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 includes a single rise-and-fall profiling bed, a fold-out chair bed, and a ceiling-mounted track hoist that leads into the ensuite wet room. Bedroom 2 features two single electric adjustable beds with space between them, and a large walk-in wardrobe. Both rooms ensure step-free access and support for ease of movement.

The wet room includes a step-free shower, handheld shower attachment, wheel-under wash basin, and handrails for added safety. The ceiling-mounted track hoist ensures ease of movement, while the weighted shower curtain enhances showering comfort.

Guests can enjoy accessible public areas, including a charming café, a swimming pool, and a play area for the little ones. Facilities include a restaurant, shop, swimming pool, live entertainment, and a gym. Assistance dogs are welcome, and the lodge offers specialized medical support with oxygen and hoist equipment available on request.
