Access and Layout
The lodge is single storey and provides level, step free access throughout both the interior and exterior. All rooms are located on the ground floor, allowing easy movement between the living areas, bedrooms, and bathroom.
Living Areas
The open plan living and dining space is fully step free and offers good circulation room for wheelchair users and mobility equipment. The dining table allows wheelchair users to sit comfortably underneath.
Kitchen
The kitchen is located within the main living space and includes a low height oven and work areas positioned for use from a seated or standing position. Most essential appliances and preparation areas are within reach, although some upper cupboards may be higher.
Bedrooms
Both bedrooms are on the ground floor. The main bedroom includes a double bed with space for side transfers, while the second bedroom has twin beds with space on either side for easier movement. Emergency alarms are fitted in the bedrooms.
Bathroom
The wet room includes a step free shower with a slight lip, a shower seat, handheld shower attachment, wheel under wash basin, and supportive grab rails. An emergency alarm is also provided.
Outdoor Access
The lodge has level access to the outdoor seating area with table and chairs, allowing guests to enjoy the surrounding countryside.
Important Notes
While all public areas are mobility friendly there is limited space within the sauna making it unsuitable for wheelchair users without transfer.
